DESCRIPTION:The Pinellas/Hillsborough Interfaith Coalition\, LWVSPA\, and our allies host a peaceful Freedom Vigil to stand in solidarity with immigrant families and demand an end to the detention and deportation of our nonviolent\, law-abiding immigrant community neighbors\, siblings\, and friends. These vigils shine a light on the erosion of due process and the rise of authoritarian overreach. We pray for family reunification and justice for all immigrants. These promise to be really different from anything else they receive by mail\, and break through the noise. \n\n\n\nWe’ll supply arts and crafts materials\, paper\, markers\, glue sticks\, scissors\, messaging ideas\, envelopes\, addresses and postage. \n\n\n\nYou bring your energy and hands on deck. DESCRIPTION:Candidates for the Gulfport City Council Ward I and Ward III will appear at a Candidate Forum\, hosted by the League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg Area. \n\n\n\nThe Candidate Forum will provide voters with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about the issues that matter most to the Gulfport community ahead of the upcoming election\, which is scheduled for March 10\, 2026. Voters will be invited to submit questions both in advance of the forum and during the event. Submit questions ahead of time here. \n\n\n\nThe forum is free and open to the public.
