SUMMARY:Vigil for Immigrant Justice
DESCRIPTION:The Pinellas/Hillsborough Interfaith Coalition\, LWVSPA\, and our allies host a peaceful Freedom Vigil to stand in solidarity with immigrant families and demand an end to the detention and deportation of our nonviolent\, law-abiding immigrant community neighbors\, siblings\, and friends. These vigils shine a light on the erosion of due process and the rise of authoritarian overreach. We pray for family reunification and justice for all immigrants. She is quoted in numerous newspapers and is an informative and entertaining speaker. \n\n\n\nHer specialties and topics of expertise include campaigns and elections\, redistricting\, women & minorities in politics\, election reform\, media and politics\, public opinion polls\, government budgeting & finance\, Florida politics—all levels\, intergenerational issues and public policies. \n\n\n\nHer educational and professional background includes Ph.D. Political Science\, Florida State University. M.A.\, Political Science\, University of Michigan.  B.A.\, Government\, Florida State University.  Interactions with major media and public recognition:  All types—electronic and print—international\, national\, state\, & local; all formats. News media coverage\, particularly of what older Americans think about various public policies toward younger Americans; National book award (Outstanding Academic Book) for Young vs. Old: Generational Combat in the 21st Century (Westview 1996). \n\n\n\n\n\n		RSVP
