Part of a fall voter education series initiated by the church and co-sponsored by LWVSPA. View our Nov. 13 2017 community conversation with St. Petersburg Police Chief Tony Holloway on how we can, as a community, effectively prevent gun violence and improve public safety.
View our Feb. 13 2018 event, “Preventing Gun Violence: A Community Conversation,” at Allendale United Methodist Church. We had the support of 11 community partners and participation by over 100 community members. Panelists included City Council Chair Lisa Wheeler-Bowman; Amanda Thalji-Raitano, PhD, licensed psychologist; pediatrician Dr. David Berman; and facilitator Ryan Mitchell.
