Are you eligible to vote?

  • You can register to vote in the state of Florida if you are a U.S. citizen, a Florida resident, and at least 18 years old. You also must not be adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting, and if you have a prior felony conviction your voting rights must be restored.
  • If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can pre-register to vote! Then you will be all set to cast your ballot once you turn 18.
  • College students may be registered at home while away at college or in the county where they attend school, as long as they are only registered to vote in one place.
  • If you are a Returning Citizen who has questions about your eligibility, here is a resource that may be helpful: Florida Rights Restoration Coalition Fines & Fees Program.
