The 2021 St Petersburg Municipal General Election is here! 

Election Day is Tuesday, November 2nd and mail ballots will be in mailboxes soon. Here’s what’s on the ballot

  • Mayor of St. Petersburg
  • St. Petersburg City Council Districts 1, 2, 4, 6 & 8 
  • 7 Proposed Amendments to the St. Petersburg City Charter
  • 1 Referendum Question

Top five things to know for the Municipal General Election:

  1. The St Petersburg Charter Review Commission only happens every 10 years. The commission recommended 7 amendments to the City Charter, and now its up to us as voters to decide! Read our analysis and make your voice heard.
  2. You will not see candidates’ political parties listed on the ballot. That’s because our city elections are nonpartisan.
  3. All registered St Petersburg voters can vote for all City Council Districts in the General Election. (Note: Council District 2 will appear on the ballot, but one of the candidates has already dropped out. That means the other candidate, Brandi Gabbard, is deemed elected to office and votes cast in this race will not be counted.)
  4. There is no early voting for this election. You can either vote-by-mail or vote in-person at your polling place on Election Day November 2nd.
  5. Your mail ballot is postage-paid, so no stamp is needed! Just be sure to get it in the mail as soon as possible to make sure it arrives by November 2nd. You can also drop it off at the Supervisor of Elections office during business hours.
