League of Women Voters of Manatee To Host Candidate Forums for US House D-16 (now includes part of St. Pete)
“I don’t know any of the people on my ballot!”
This is one of the most common concerns we hear at the League of Women Voters — and it’s exactly why LWV hosts candidate forums.
These sessions give voters a chance to hear directly from the candidates, understand where they stand on key issues, and get the information needed to vote with confidence.
Join LWV of Manatee County as it hosts Candidate Forums for those running for Congressional District 16 in the August elections.
IMPORTANT CHANGE: Recent redistricting has significantly reshaped Congressional District 16, which now includes the southern tip of St. Petersburg, all of Manatee, DeSoto and Hardee Counties, and part of Sarasota County. The League has been working diligently to reach voters in these newly added areas to ensure that all voters have access to reliable, nonpartisan information. Candidates will answer questions developed by the League of Women Voters of Manatee County, along with questions submitted at least one week before the forum. If you have a question you’d like considered, please send it, as well as which candidate forum the question is for, to info@lwvmanatee.org.
