Hear from seasoned LWVSPA advocates and engage in hands-on learning to build and strengthen skills for issue advocacy — particularly issues in the LWVSPA Program. Whether someone is new to advocacy or has years of experience, they will leave the workshop with messages, step-by-step tools, and the practice they need to feel ready to make a difference.

In addition to whole-group plenaries and action team meetings, break-out sessions will include these workshops on tactics:

– Engaging and Influencing Elected Officials

– Using the press (Getting in Print, media events)

– Online Communications (Effective action alerts, social media)

– Action in the Public Square (Hosting powerful events: protests, panel discussions, town halls, webinars)

We will meet at Allendale United Methodist Church.
