Kudos! Amy Keith and Caitlin Constantine

LWVSPA Caitlin Constantine, Election and Voter Protection Co-Chair, and Amy Keith, LWVSPA 2nd Vice President & Election and Voter Protection Co-Chair, were recently appointed as LWV representatives to the Florida Election Protection Coalition. Caitlin recently presented valuable information to the Voter Services Chairs of local Leagues across the state based on field experience the LWVSPA Voter Protection Team has gained over the past four years. Caitlin and Amy are a dynamic duo who leads a dedicated team that have brought recognition to the LWVSPA as leaders in the state.

The Florida Election Protection Coalition is part of the nationwide Election Protection program, which is the largest nonpartisan voter protection program in the country. The coalition’s goal is to ensure that every eligible voter can cast their ballot on Election Day.

In Florida, the coalition works to assist voters in real time on election day, help ensure voters know their rights, and report on systemic and larger issues that impact voter access. Caitlin and Amy have been serving as Pinellas County Leads for Election Protection since 2018. They have trained and fielded over 250 nonpartisan, volunteer poll monitors who have been out at polling locations across Pinellas for six local and federal elections (so far!) and have helped countless voters.

Caitlin and Amy are now bringing this on-the-ground experience to the state-level as the LWVFL representatives to the coalition. Amy says, “We are looking forward to helping to build a strong Election Protection field program in Florida, and to supporting LWVFL and local Leagues around the state to partner effectively in the program.”
