Call Rep. Charlie Crist at 202-225-5961 now and remind him:
We need more access to affordable healthcare and long-term care, not less! Don’t forget to share your own experience of why this is important to you and your community.
No wonder Congress took so long to put out their plan: it is not a plan at all!
Extreme right-wing elected officials in Washington, have joined the President’s crusade to alter the ACA. They are determined to give tax cuts to the rich by reducing funding for affordable care for the rest of us. What does that mean for women?
- A return to high out-of-pocket costs for birth control and other women’s preventive services.
- No more guaranteed coverage of maternity care.
- Women left without coverage for cancer treatment.
- Capping Medicaid funding will be devastating for seniors, people with disabilities and working families, leading to devastating medical bankruptcies.
Tell Washington we need a REAL plan for affordable healthcare and no artificial caps on Medicaid.
The LWVSPA Reproductive Rights Action Team works in Tampa Bay to affirm and advocate for equal and safe access to the full range of reproductive health care – from abortion to birth control to evidence-based sex education. The group works to increase participation in the reproductive rights movement in the Tampa Bay area through visibility events, letter-to-the editor campaigns, and educational films, discussions, book studies, and forums. Forming ongoing relationships with state- and federal-level elected officials, as well as local public health officials, is a priority.
