Three Outstanding Volunteers Nominated for the November 2021 “Cream of the Crop” Recognition

St. Petersburg Area League President Linsey Grove nominated two outstanding volunteers for the November “Cream of the Crop” recognition. Beate Marston and Nita Carroll serve on the Bylaws Committee and have been instrumental in researching how to make the transition from a 501c4 to a 501c3. Beate is a fearless advocate for the League’s organizational well-being and sustainability, and Nita provides invaluable legal and professional insight to this organizational exploration. Beate and Nita share the trifecta of being rockstar volunteers, members, and board directors.

And who is that mysterious woman who keeps Facebook full of information about not only what’s going on with the St. Petersburg chapter, but all things important to our members? Nominated by Linsey Grove and Beth Settle, Membership Committee, Ama Appiah is another outstanding “Cream of Crop” nominee for the month of November. A former board member, Ama previously served on the media and publicity committee, but because that committee hasn’t been as organized lately, Ama took the reins and continues to keep the social media fires burning.

“I’m very impressed with how quickly Ama gets information out and how interested I am in reading it,” said Beth. And according to Linsey, Ama has been an invaluable contribution to our League’s mission.
