Not all Pinellas County voters will be voting in March. The races that appear on an individual’s ballot depend on their municipality and geographic voting precinct. Please note that several municipalities that had elections scheduled for March 11 will NOT be holding elections because the races up for election are uncontested, including: Belleair, Belleair Bluffs, Belleair Shore, Kenneth City, Madeira Beach, Redington Beach, and North Redington Beach.

For local, state and national elections, voters can go to Vote411.org and enter their address to read candidates’ responses to our questions, see analysis of ballot issues, and build a personalized sample ballot. We ask candidates to answer questions about key community issues, and we present their responses unedited in their own words.

Candidate Forums

One of the League’s signature activities is candidate forums. These forums give voters a chance to hear directly from the candidates themselves. No spin, no marketing, no slick advertising – just the candidates speaking directly to the voters.

Voter Resources

We get it: voting can be confusing. These resources will help make it easier to navigate the process and make sure your vote counts.

A note about Voting by Mail: All Florida voters who want to continue voting by mail must submit a NEW vote-by-mail ballot request each federal general election cycle (or, in simpler terms, after each presidential or midterm election). We recommend to double check your vote-by-mail request to ensure you are scheduled to receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the upcoming election. Your ballot envelope must be signed for your vote to be counted. Your ballot also must arrive by 7:00pm on Election Day for your vote to be counted (postmark date does not county): mail it at least 10 days before Election Day so that it arrives on time. If you prefer to drop your ballot off, you can do so at any Supervisor of Elections office during opening hours (501 1st Ave N in St Petersburg, 315 Court St in Clearwater, or 13001 Starkey Road in Largo). We recommend that you track your ballot to ensure it arrived and that your signature was accepted. If there is a problem with your signature, you have until 5:00pm on the Thursday after Election Day to fix it.
